I was asked by the monastery to be their photographer for an 8-day event with the Dalai Lama.  I got to meet him a few times.  It would not at all be likely that we'd see him, but his presence is seen everywhere throughout the region.

I was asked to be on the stage with the Dalai Lama for one of his talks.  10,000 people in the hot sun listening to him and I was blessed to be on his stage (under a tent/tarp).
